In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you can access a range of new Mega Evolutions that expand the available roster and provide additional battle options. These transformations offer enhanced abilities for select Pokémon once you obtain their respective Mega Stones.

This guide explains every new Mega Evolution introduced in the game, including those available for starter Pokémon.
Overview of New Mega Evolutions
There are 25 new Mega Evolutions introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. As you progress through the story, you will encounter opportunities to Mega Evolve Pokémon from different generations.
Each of these Pokémon gains a temporary new form during battle, which you can activate using the Mega Evolution feature once the proper conditions are met.

List of New Mega Evolutions
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the following Pokémon can Mega Evolve into new forms. Each transformation grants the Pokémon an updated type combination, offering new tactical possibilities in combat.
Mega Meganium changes its type to Grass and Fairy.
Mega Emboar transforms into a Fire and Fighting type.
Mega Feraligatr gains the Water and Dragon typing.
Mega Barbaracle becomes a Rock and Fighting type.
Mega Starmie holds the Water and Psychic typing.
Mega Floette retains the Fairy type.
Mega Pyroar takes on the Fire and Normal typing.
Mega Clefable becomes a Fairy and Flying type.
Mega Scolipede changes into a Bug and Poison type.
Mega Victreebel evolves into a Grass and Poison type.
Mega Excadrill becomes a Ground and Steel type.
Mega Eelektross remains a pure Electric type.
Mega Dragonite gains the Dragon and Flying typing.
Mega Dragalge evolves into a Poison and Dragon type.
