Rivage features two different endings, each offering a different conclusion to Miranda's journey aboard the A.R.E.S. space station. While the standard ending can be unlocked by completing the main storyline, the secret Good Ending requires additional exploration, collecting hidden Tarot Cards, and completing a challenging arcade minigame.

Both endings require progressing through the station's puzzles and obtaining Level 5 access. However, the final objectives differ depending on which ending you're trying to unlock.
This Rivage All Endings Guide explains how to unlock both endings, including the standard Escape Room Ending and the secret Back to the Past Ending.
How Many Endings Are There in Rivage?
There are two endings in Rivage, each with different unlock requirements.
- Standard Ending (Escape Room): Complete the main storyline, obtain Level 5 access, unlock Pod 01, and escape the station.
- Secret Good Ending (Back to the Past): Collect all seven Tarot Cards, unlock the Arcade Room safe, obtain the Arcade Coin, and complete the arcade minigame.
The standard ending is considerably easier to unlock because it doesn't require any optional collectibles. Meanwhile, the secret ending involves several additional puzzles scattered throughout A.R.E.S.
How to Unlock the Standard Ending in Rivage
The standard ending is the natural conclusion to the main storyline. You'll unlock it after repairing the Train, reaching the Fusion Core, and obtaining Level 5 access.
Step 1: Obtain Level 5 Access
First, repair the Train by manufacturing and installing the Regulator in the Garage.
Once the Train is operational, use the Quantum Cell to power it and travel to the Fusion Core.
Explore the area beyond the Train, then enter the Level 4 room with the broken walkway.
You'll find a Level 5 Access Card on a nearby desk. Pick it up and scan the barcode to permanently unlock Level 5 authorization.
Step 2: Enter Jonny's Room
Return to the Bedroom Hallway and locate Jonny's locked door.

Use your newly acquired Level 5 access to unlock it.
However, instead of opening into a normal bedroom, the doorway reveals a mysterious blue portal.
Step through the portal to teleport directly into the Fusion Core control room, on the opposite side of the broken walkway.
Entering the portal also unlocks the Traveller achievement.
Step 3: Unlock Pod 01
Once inside the Fusion Core control room, approach the main control console.
Make sure you have at least one energy block remaining, as the console requires power to operate.

Follow these steps:
- Interact with the console and select Pods.
- Locate Pod 01 on the display.
- Press Unlock to release its security restrictions.
- Pull down the yellow handle beside the console to complete the process.
After unlocking Pod 01, return through the blue portal and head toward the Pod Bay.
Step 4: Escape Through Pod 01
Inside the Pod Bay, locate the first escape pod on the left.
Its control panel should now display the option to open it.
Interact with the screen and select Open to trigger the standard ending cutscene.
Completing this sequence unlocks the Escape Room achievement, marking the completion of Rivage's main storyline.
How to Unlock the Secret Good Ending in Rivage
The secret Good Ending, also known as Back to the Past, requires considerably more preparation.
Instead of escaping through Pod 01, you'll need to collect seven hidden Tarot Cards, solve the Arcade Room safe puzzle, and achieve a new high score in the arcade minigame.
Step 1: Collect All Seven Tarot Cards
Tarot Cards are optional collectibles hidden behind puzzles throughout the station.
You'll need to obtain all seven before attempting the secret ending.

Their locations and unlock methods include:
- Amaan's Locker: Solve the cabinet puzzle inside Amaan's locker in the Pod Bay.
- Cubik's Cube: Complete the Cubik's Cube puzzle to obtain the card on a hidden Garage balcony.
- Laboratory Microwave: Find the miniature card near Rafael's bed and enlarge it using the Laboratory microwave.
- Lobby Xylophone: Complete the musical puzzle involving the Horizon Probe display.
- Greenhouse Chessboard: Decode the chess piece positions and solve the Chessboard Puzzle.
- Miranda's Record Player: Decode the Morse code from Jahi's vinyl recording and unlock the hidden drawer.
- Garage Assembly Machine: Discover the hidden HyperViolet letters and manufacture the final Tarot Card.
Important: Tarot Card names and symbols are randomized between playthroughs. Take screenshots of every card and its symbol using K9.
Step 2: Find the Seven Hidden HyperViolet Letters
The final Tarot Card requires a special manufacturing recipe.
To obtain it, use your HyperViolet flashlight to reveal seven numbered letters hidden around the station.
Search the following locations:
- Bedroom Hallway
- Upper Garage
- Upper Lobby
- Observatory
- Upper Greenhouse
- Jahi's Bedroom
- Fusion Core
Arrange the letters according to their numbers to form a seven-letter word.
Next, return to Amaan's computer and open the terminal.
Enter the following command, replacing WORD with your discovered letters:
- EXTRACT WORD.qpak
Once the archive is extracted, enter:
- CAT TarotRecipe.note
The terminal will display the recipe needed to manufacture the final Tarot Card.
Travel to the Garage, access the Level 4 Assembly Machine, and select the components and materials specified in the recipe.
Complete the manufacturing process and collect the seventh Tarot Card.
Step 3: Unlock the Arcade Room Safe
Once you've collected all seven Tarot Cards, you'll need to access the Arcade Room.
This room is located off the Kitchen and becomes accessible after your energy supply runs out.
Inside, locate the safe containing the Arcade Coin.
The safe features several symbols corresponding to the Tarot Cards you've collected.
To unlock it:
- Open your K9 screenshots and examine the symbols on all seven cards.
- Identify the correct order using the cards' numbering.
- Interact with the safe's central knob.
- Rotate the arrow to each symbol in the correct sequence.
- Collect the Arcade Coin once the safe opens.
Since the Tarot Card symbols are randomized, there is no universal combination that works for every player.
Step 4: Complete the Arcade Minigame
After obtaining the Arcade Coin, approach the arcade machine.

Do not interact with the screen immediately, as doing so will start another time loop.
Instead, look toward the lower front panel and insert the Arcade Coin into its slot.
This activates a hidden space-shooter minigame.
The default PC controls are:
- WASD: Move your spaceship.
- Left Mouse Button: Fire your weapon.
You'll need to achieve a score higher than 6,530 to unlock the secret ending.
Reaching that score requires surviving the entire minigame, including its final boss encounter.
You only have three lives, so prioritize avoiding incoming projectiles rather than continuously attacking enemies.
If you lose all three lives, you'll need to attempt the minigame again during another loop.
Step 5: Trigger the Secret Ending
Once you've defeated the final boss and achieved the required high score, interact with the arcade machine's screen.
This time, instead of returning to a normal loop, Miranda awakens into the secret ending sequence.
Completing this sequence unlocks the Back to the Past achievement, confirming that you've reached Rivage's hidden Good Ending.
Which Ending Is Better in Rivage?
The standard ending focuses on completing Miranda's immediate objective: unlocking an escape pod and leaving the station.
It requires fewer puzzles and is the quickest way to finish the main storyline.
The secret Good Ending provides an alternative conclusion tied to the station's unusual time-loop mechanics. It also rewards players who explore every major area and complete the optional Tarot Card challenges.
For players looking to experience everything Rivage offers, unlocking both endings is worthwhile.
Final Thoughts
Rivage features two endings: the standard Escape Room Ending and the secret Back to the Past Ending.
The standard ending requires Level 5 access and unlocking Pod 01, while the secret ending involves collecting all seven Tarot Cards and completing the arcade minigame.
Although the Good Ending requires additional effort, it's the more rewarding option for players seeking a complete experience.
