Summary of year 2010

Editorial by Domen on  Jan 10, 2011

This is no extensive review of the year 2010 and what NoobFeed has accomplished, but more of a short summary. I am very time stricken these days so I don't have the luxury of extensive reports.

The year 2010 was a year of establishment where we formed various teams, got heads of departments and prepared ourselves for the years to come. Our writers are working daily to bring you, the community, the best they can possibly offer at the current time. I am very proud of the work they have done, especially since they are not paid. Their motivation derives from dedication to the website and to the joint cause and goal. NoobFeed is light years away from its full potential, which isn't a mystery. We are new in the business and we're just getting started. Of course I don't want to forget all the other staff members, moderators and the marketing crew. All of you, you are doing a lovely job. I thank you for your dedicated time, and talent. In the end, all of this will be rewarded with success.

Traffic wise we didn't go up much however a slight progress in visitors has been recorded. It wasn't our main concerne to bring in visitors, because we have too many flaws to start a major marketing campaign. We shall be focusing on traffic this year quite more extensively. We need funds to continue our development and growth, and funds will come from high traffic income with advertisement. Unfortunately, advertisement is a necessity, even though we all hate advertisement. But for us to continue growing we need advertisement, otherwise all we're doing here is stalling.

As a personal update. As said, I'm very busy with college and the upcoming exams. I am also busy with other projects (many of them new) so I am truly sorry I am not active as I should be. But not to worry, even if I don't write I am always watching and of course, marketing is a behind the scenes activity (Ironical?). I finish with my exams on the 15th of February, after which time we will dive into action with full-thortle. This year, we invite the masses and so, prepare for a bigger community with more of such wonderful people as yourselves.
