The Wooden Chest puzzle in the Child's Room opens up when you click the chest sitting in the bottom left corner of the room. This is one of the trickier riddle-based puzzles in The Mermaid Mask. A clue carved into the box reads that two girls look at a third one enviously, whose doll is sized just right, not too big and not too small.

Solving the Wooden Chest

All three cards in this Mermaid Mask puzzle share the same two designs without variation, and the glass lenses either shrink, enlarge, or warp whatever they're placed over. Arrange the three cards so they form three girls. Place the two warping lenses so the girls on the left and right appear to be looking at the girl in the middle. Then put the shrinking lens on one side's doll and the enlarging lens on the other; it doesn't matter which side gets which. Solving the Wooden Chest puzzle unlocks the Glass Eyeball.
