The Most Replayable Nintendo Games Of All Time

Opinion by Nilin on  Jan 29, 2024

Everyone loves a replayable game. As well as ensuring that you get the most fun for your buck, a game that you can return to time and again is the ultimate in gamer comfort. Plus, it’s always nice to become such an expert that you can start uncovering stuff you probably didn’t even notice the first time around!

Famously across consoles, games like GTA offer pretty much endless replay opportunities thanks to hidden easter eggs, sideline missions, and the opportunity to delve into gta 5 modded accounts if you want to go really mad. But GTA is far from the only game that you can slip right into and enjoy plenty of action.

Super Mario World, Nintendo Switch

In fact, there are some great Nintendo games that you’ll want to play over and over. And, we’re going to consider the best of them here.

# 1 - Animal Crossing

Some players report piling more than 700 hours into their Animal Crossing games. Alongside other Nintendo favorites like Stardew Valley, this is replaying gold because…well, the game never ends. There’s always a new goal to strive for. And, if you get fed up with the world you’ve built, then you can always just start from scratch and start playing a game that’s nothing like your old one!

# 2 - Super Mario World

We’re highlighting Super Mario World here because of its vast gameplay options, but really, any game from the Super Mario franchise would fit this bill. It may be a classic game by now, but trust us when we say that Super Mario is just one of those worlds that any keen Nintendo gamer will want to get stuck into at a moment’s notice. Super Mario World, in particular, gives you full control of where you head and the outcomes that you experience as a result of that.

Sure, you can play the game straight through in a linear fashion (and probably should for your first time), but there is are load of other options, including going straight to Star Road, heading for Bowser’s Castle early on, and a whole load more gameplay options for your pleasure!

# 3 - Legend of Zelda. Pretty much any of them

If you ask any Nintendo fan what their favorite game is, they’ll probably say either Ocarina of Time or Majora’s Mask. Obviously. And their popularity means that both of these Legend of Zelda games are perhaps the most replayed Nintendo launches of all. But, these guys are unique in that, while puzzles and additional discoveries definitely play a part in gameplay, they’re not all that surprising the second or third time you play.

You certainly don’t have the wealth of potential discovery here that you do on, say, a game like Animal Crossing. You can’t even really play the game any other way like you would with Super Mario World. So, why replay them? For nostalgia, of course. And because some games are simply good enough to deserve your time, time and time again!

What’s your favorite Nintendo game to replay? We’d love to hear!
