THUN-DER.... (the AC/DC concert in Athens)

Simply ***** awesome. Last night it was possibly the best live concert I've ever been and believe me, trying to describe how it was... it was an absolute madness, a fantastic thrill, something that people will remember for years.

 

AC/DC had never visited Athens before and they did it with pure class. I swear I heard people talking languages all over the Balkans... no there weren't just Greeks here last night. The band was simply amazing, they performed around 4-5 songs from their album and IMO they didn't miss a single song from the ones that made them worldwide famous.

 

The concert started with "The Answer" a nice band, but everyone was here for the big thing. Around 9:30, lights went off and....

 

 

Pure bouncing.... Athens Olympic stadium was almost packed, adding the people on the arena, I'd swear there were more than 50k here last night... The whole stadium went nuts when the band started the intro from Back in Black, oh my... I lost myself there for a couple of minutes and let  myself go with the flow, didn't care for anything, didn't worry for anything, just wanted to live it the best way I could... I lost contact with my brother Yianis there for those minutes and we found ourselves together on this song....

 

 

Holy ***** I lost him again...

 

The band didn't let anyone unhappy, especially with The Jack

 

 

It was much more than a live concert and if you consider these guys are in their 60's, you realise there aren't many music genres that can have an audience from 10 to 80, perform as pure professionals and make the croud go wild. I bet my whole money in the bank, that Will Smith will barely have this audience in his 60's, let alone the crap rap, one night stars.

 

T.N.T. , Whole lotta Rosie, Dirty Deeds, Hells Bells, You shook me all night long were some of the greatest we all listened and bounced about last night. AC/DC made their small comeback performace as usual with Highway to Hell and For those about to rock. Out of 10, I'd give this an 11, because I gave a 12 to Iron Maiden's concert last year in Athens...
