User Notification ~Updated~

Hi feeders,

 

I'm here just with a little update  Well in my last blog I said this one would be the leaderboard one but that daily level caps glitch is still there. It's happening randomly & so I better wait a few more days to put the update

 

You know User Notification has been added to the site long ago. But multiple mentioning was not working perfectly. You can see the previous update here

 

For the last couple of days, HYPHEN (-) hasn't been working ( e.g. @bizzy - comment ) with notification system But thanks to junal who has already worked out the problem FYI Colon ( : ) has been working fine with the system

Moreover now you can mention users not only over comments but also through Forum Posts & even in Blogs So don't forget to thank this man junal

 

BUT Users having Punctuation Marks i.e. period ( . ) or Underscore ( _ ) or Hyphen ( - ) etc in their usernames will have to wait some more days e.g. -Moroes-, David_D or A.Rosher won't receive any notification for the time being. But hopefully we can get rid of this particular problem within a short period of time

 

You already know about the unread posts bug. Same kind of bug is showing up for the forum post mentions. Let me explain, Clicking Forum post notifications is taking to the thread but it's not viewing that specific post :( It only shows a blank quick reply box.

I'm asking you to keep it as simple as possible. So avoid using too many punctuations or so many smileys as that may not send notifications :S

If you face any bug on this issue, please help us posting it here

 

Oh and we have a new user joined few days ago. So plaese welcome our new CUTE friend tabassum.

UPDATE : Both David_D & A.Rosher is receiving notifications now :) Using Text Smileys also seems to be fine :D

BUT still no notification for -Moroes- :( And sorry to say that junal already told me that we can't follow Username like this with Hyphen ( - ) before & after. I'm not sure if there are others :S

 

Oh just got one more thing to notify, if you Quote someone over Forum then the "@ Mentioning" won't work :( This issue will also be solved hopefully :)
