Vacations! + Not again!

I replied to people's comments on my last blog, feel free to visit the last blog for it.

It is official: I'm in vacations until the 4th of January! It was supposed to start the 23rd after work, but upon arriving at work yesterday (Monday, the 21st) and realizing that there really was nothing, or more that I was sick of seeing these walls lol, I asked for 2 more days off before the 24th. At first it wasn't supposed to be accepted, but it did! Which means that my vacations started yesterday evening after work! I can continue my lil' gimmick now which has been to play and finish Megaman 9 once a day since Saturday, trying to collect the in-game challenges (I think I'm currently at 52% of the challenges completed) before Megaman 10.

Which brings me to another future point. Tanya has asked me what makes it so I love Rockman/Megaman so much, which I guess is a good question when the person (me in this situation) even knows the date of birth of the series and actually celebrates it every year by playing the games on December 17th lol. It's hard to forget though, since he's one year younger than I am and was born in 1987, while I was born in 1986. All that's really left to remember is the 17th. Anyway, due to this question, I will prepare in either a near or not so near future a blog explaining my love for it, along with one funny thing my old ex-girlfriend from way back in Highschool told me concerning Megaman. I still remember it to this day because it was an amazing idea lol.

Alright so it's vacation, and despite my will to not buy any new games, I told you people about the new games I had bought. However, it doesn't stop there.. I bought yet another game this weekend. It isn't my usual genre of gaming, but somehow that one caught my attention and it also had a great deal: 50% off for the weekend on Steam. The game in question is Torchlight, which heavily reminds me of Diablo and Sacred (I never actually played Diablo, but one of my friends way back then used to play it all the time). Since I do not feel like explaining the game other than you find yourself in Torchlight and need to discover the power of Ember and such things (I just woke up, pretty lazy eh? It's vacations!), I invit you to visit the Torchlight Official Website for anyone who feels like learning a bit more about it. I found myself to be heavily addicted to it these past days. The game doesn't seem too long though, which was my main worry in the beginning, some of you may be starting to know that I dislike long games. Apparently most people can get out of it with around 20-30 hours to complete the main quest and side quests, and around 8-10 hours for only the main quest. Sounds good to me, as I usually start getting extremely bored after 20-25 hours of gameplay, which is why I stopped playing RPGs.

Now a small refresh on my upcoming review. I've been slacking off on it very badly. At least I'm being honest lol. Why I've been slaking off? For a couple of reasons.. Lately I haven't found a lot of time this weekend, and the little time I had left was spent gaming. Yep, gaming makes me slack off. I still haven't found someone to play online with either, but hey, Online isn't much of a concern for the review. I know what are the features of the game in that portion and how the rest is basically the same as with every other FPS online gaming. But I still want to try it before finishing it up. I've only got the Gameplay/Controls section left along with the Online, and after that I can slap in a resume and the small things that didn't fit in with the rest, which are always done at the end anyway. So yeah, it's pretty advanced and could be done quickly enough.

Oh and it's also a reason why on my old blog, I'd usually never talk about upcoming reviews since I never know when it will be done. But I'm a man of my words though, I said there would be one, and there will be one of F.E.A.R., when it will be done is another question though. I'll definitely look it up today and tomorrow (once again... Vacations!) so it can be right in time with the holidays. I'll honestly be disappointed in myself if it isn't up before Christmas, so I'll work on it today.

It's a gamers vacations after all ;p

Oh and I almost forgot, I've made a Lucidity video showing how to get the "Cleaning Up" achievement, which was mostly to see how well I could record on Steam games. I'll post the video for your viewing pleasure, be sure to watch it in HD ;p (by the way if someone could help me with posting embedded YouTube videos, I notice there's always this part of string showinjg up, thanks for anyone who can provide me with some help)
