As Season 6 of Respawn Entertainment's battle royale quickly approaches its release date, fans are attempting to learn as much as they can about what is to come. Because previous speculations about Season 6 have so far been revealed as unfruitful, fans are reaching out on Twitter to Apex Legends writers, and receiving some interesting responses.

After the announcement of Rampart earlier in August, many fans have mixed feelings. Players were expecting Ash, a villain from Titanfall 2, to be the next in-game hero, as Season 5's quest line centered around rebuilding her robotic head. Although no official abilities for Rampart have been revealed, she will likely usher in new lore for many fan favorites.

Recently on the Apex Legends Twitter page, fans have been gifted with short audio recordings, hinting at new lore and potential story points. While many players are interested to learn about the new hero, users are concerned that original legends do not have enough lore. But after some players expressed these concerns, writer Tom Casiello revealed the news about some focus on Mirage's lore.

Casiello originally responded to fans with a joke, saying that Season 6 would not focus on lore like Season 5 had. When fans started to detail their disappointment about Mirage's lack of lore, Casiello replied with a hint of lore in the season to come. "We aren't [including Mirage lore in Season 6]?! Nobody told us. Hey, @MannyHagopian and @ashsashreed! I guess that's it for Mirage lore, folks. Throw out everything we had planned for him in Season Six. Would've been fun too. Oh well."

Although many of the previously revealed audio recordings hint at a focus on the relationship between Bangalore and Rampart, it now seems that more lore will be incorporated into Season 6. Based on the Tweet from Casiello, players can expect more Mirage lore to appear in Season 6 as well, whether through voice lines or in-game quests. Season 6 seems to be preparing for a slew of lore, so players should be expecting a lot of new information to come later in August.

Apex Legends Season 6 launches on August 18, and the game is free to play on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, with a Steam, Switch and cross play port coming later in 2020.
