Cyberpunk 2077 has been going through a rough post-launch period. The base model versions of the game for PS4 and Xbox One are littered with technical problems and recently CD Projekt RED apologized for the problems. A recent conference call confirming the studio didn't spend enough time on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
According to the post above, the developers spent more time on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC versions of the game as opposed to the Xbox One and PS4. This resulted in the issues players are experiencing. CD Projekt did want to assure that they're working on patches to resolve the issues.
In addition, CD Projekt clarified that they do not have a special deal with Microsoft or Sony regarding refunds on the Xbox or PlayStation digital stores. Despite stating in a previous statement they would aid players in refunds they're treated like everyone else in terms of the digital store's TOS.
The irony of all of this is that Google Stadia runs the game better than Sony and Microsoft systems.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series, Stadia, and PS5.
