For those of you who have been enjoying the free games that come every week on Epic Games Store, there might be a surprise in store starting next week Thursday, 18 May 2023. Most of the time, users of Epic Games Store get clued in beforehand about what games are coming each week. However, this time around it seems that users will have a surprise in store for them.

It seems that the Epic Games Store will be adding a bit of mystery as users will no longer be given insight as to what games are available to claim and instead, they will only be able to tell what games are available to claim on the day they become available. The reason for this is that the free games are meant to be an incentive for users to check out what other games are on sale. This hasn't exactly gone according to plan, where most of the time users simply hop on, snag the free games and hop off and don't bother with what else is on sale.

However, that's not to say that all freebies will be a mystery. The mystery freebies will only start from next week, so users will still have a chance to snag what freebies are currently available. The current freebies will still be available to claim from now until 18 May 2023 at 10am CT.

As of writing this, the current freebie games that are up for snagging are the Daring Lifestyle Bundle for The Sims 4. Included in this oh so lovely bundle, the Jungle Adventure game pack, the Luxury Party stuff pack, and the Fashion Street kit. While all these packs are fun and all… You can't do much with them if you don't have the full game, so they're kind of redundant. However, if you are already a player of The Sims 4 and are missing one or all of these packs, then now is the perfect time to snag them.

If you are a bit confused as to why they didn't just give the full game, Epic Games occasionally does expansions and DLCs for games instead of the games themselves, as the expansions can be a bit pricey on their own, especially with a game like The Sims 4, that has a small mountain worth of expansions. As for the second game that you can snag, well that's a bit of mystery as Epic Games Store decided to leave that one a secret until next week.
