If you’ve been holding off on buying a PlayStation TV but were planning on picking one up eventually, you better get moving. Sony today announced that the microconsole will be discontinued in the Americas and Europe, as shipments stopped at end of last year.

In a statement with GameSpot, a spokesperson said, "PlayStation TV shipments were terminated at the end of 2015 in SCEA and SCEE. Shipment is still continuing in SCEAsia (as of the end of February, 2016), and we have nothing to announce regarding the timing of termination."

The PlayStation TV launched two years ago in Japan and came State-side a year later. It was made to play a select number of PlayStation Vita games on a TV, as well as digital PlayStation One and PSP titles. The idea was to make the Vita library more accessible, but between low interest in the device and a host of compatibility issues, not to mention the fact that so much of the Vita’s library was already available on PS3 and PS4 due to cross-buy, it never quite took off. It originally launched at $99, but quickly got discounted to $50 and lower.

Though new shipments have ceased, the PS TV can still be bought from its official website, Amazon, and other retailers. Time will tell how long it’ll remain in stock. If you still want one, you best not wait too long.
