Nintendo's Switch and SNES Classic aren't the only things doing well this year, on the mobile platform Super Mario Run has become the most downloaded game in the Android marketplace in 2017.
The game, which is free for the first world, was released on March 22 after being an exclusive for the iOS marketplace for 4 months. The game launched with mixed receptions, mostly due to the game's strange free-to-play system which locks out most of the game through a paywall.
The game has been updated with frequent updates since its launch with new worlds, enemies, characters, and using personal music while the game is running.
Super Mario Run is now available for iOS and Android devices.
