Override: Mech City Brawl goes straight for one childhood fantasy at least some of us share: that of pitting oversized mechs against each other and maybe levelling entire cities in the process. The arcade brawler, published by Modus Games and developed by The Balance Inc., will feature 1v1 and 2v2 modes in fully destructible arenas modelled after real life locations. There's also a 2 to 4-player co-op mode, where each player controls individual parts of a skyscraper-sized mech, and a single-player story mode for the loners out there.
Override: Mech City Brawl will launch with 12 mechs, which can be seen in its trailer, that can also be customized with various accessories and skins. The title is slated for a December 4th release on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Pre-orders are available starting today. The digital-only standard version costs $29.99 or your regional equivalent, while the Super Charged Mega Edition – also available physically – is $10 more expensive but comes with the Season Pass. Included in the Season Pass are 4 extra mechs and 16 skins coming post-launch as well as instant access to the 12 legendary skins that are unlockable in the standard game. A closed beta, for which you can sign up on the game's website, is scheduled to start on August 10th.
