Need for Speed Heat Releasing this November

Need for Speed hit a massive roadblock with 2017's Need for Speed Payback. Similar to another EA title, Star Wars Battlefront 2, the game featured heavy predatory microtransactions and slot machines that controlled and linked it to the monetization system. Well, it seems that EA is attempting another entry in the series called Need for Speed Heat.

The announcement was leaked yesterday, with the trailer leaked being pulled down rapidly. Need for Speed Heat will feature lots of fast cars and cops who chase those speedy racers. The trailer is only 2 minutes long and EA and developer Ghost Games did state in a press release that the game will feature  “expressive customization, authentic urban car culture, and an immersive narrative that pulls you into the game.”

However, many fans are still annoyed about the previous entry. And any game branding the EA logo has now been associated to heavy microtransactions.

Need for Speed Heat launches this November for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
