Need for Speed: Heat is a big hit with gamers

The Need for Speed franchise hit a slump with Need for Speed: Payback with the game's heavy monetization and lackluster options. Need for Speed: Heat has had the opposite reception with many loving the game's return to dedicated street racing and customization. So much so that its' the most played game in the series this generation.
This comes from Ghost Games who provided the news on their official Twitter account.
#NFSHeat set a new record during the first week with more of you playing this game than any other NFS title this generation. Thanks to our community for bringing the Heat! pic.twitter.com/4BhGpdKsup

There have been 3 games before Need for Speed: Heat. Starting with Rivals having positive reviews, followed by Need for Speed receiving lower scores but still have a positive reception, and then lowest received game in the series Need for Speed: Payback.
It's relieving to see the series take a sharp turn from the previous installment. Focusing more on driving than on constantly charging the player for random rewards. Similarly, EA published the recent Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which has been receiving a lot of praise. With myself considering the best Star Wars game in years. Maybe EA has finally turned or this is a 1-off thing to make us forget.
Need for Speed: Heat is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
