SolSeraph has been unveiled as Chilean indie developer Ace Team's next project and it's headed our way soon. The title puts players in "the wing-tipped shoes of an almighty divinity who is tasked with rebuilding civilization while protecting the people from the constant threat of mythical demons and monsters".
Gameplay-wise, SolSeraph alternates between tower defense and side-scrolling action segments. In the former, players "carefully guide each tribe from the clouds above in order to help expand their territory and dispel the dark fog that shrouds their lands", while the latter has them taking "the role of Helios to fight the monsters head on".
SolSeraph's tower defense segments place emphasis on finding the proper combination of troops and buildings to build and support an army for defense purposes. When taking control of Helios, players get to wield sword, shield, and magical archery, unlocking more abilities as they vanquish foes.
Published by Sega, SolSeraph is scheduled to release on July 10th on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Check out its release trailer.
