Among Us Developers Explain Why The Updates Are Taking So Long
Developers Innersloth discuss the complex process of organizing the game's development

Among Us has received huge success, becoming one of the most popular video games ever last year.
In a recent blog post, developers Innersloth discussed why the game's updates are taking a particularly long time.

Speaking on the topic, Innersloth had this to say about the delays:
"Among Us gained incredible traction pretty late into 2020 that we weren’t expecting, and that meant A LOT of change for us. Not to dive into too much organizational stuff, but not only did we need to switch back to working on Among Us after thinking it was done, but we also needed to set ourselves up more sustainably to work on the game."
The team went on to discuss how they had spent a full two months just re-structuring and organizing the team.
The developers clearly were not envisioning the game as being such a huge success as it was, and plans for the future take time to figure out.
They also explained how they have been organizing for an increase in staff, as well as focusing on bringing the game to different platforms.
The blog post concludes a new 2021 road map for the game is on the way, with the devs also thanking the community for support:
"We never expected all of this to happen (thank you!!!), so we're taking it slow and steady to make sure we can keep sending good things your way,"
Among Us is now available for mobile devices, Switch, and PC.
