Microsoft has chosen Amy Hood as it's first female chief financial officer, replacing CFO Peter Klein.

When the Xbox 360 reached it's 77 million milestone in April 2013 Klein announced that he was leaving the company after spending 4 months in the position. He'll remain at Microsoft until the transaction if completed.
According to the Microsoft press release “Amy brings the right talents and experiences to the role as we continue to strengthen our focus on devices and services,” said Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s chief executive officer. “She has been an instrumental leader in the Microsoft Business Division (MBD), helping lead the transition to services with Office 365 and delivering strong financial and operational management throughout her time on the business.”

Hood is the first woman to serve as CFO at Microsoft.
