Axiom Verge 2 Launching on Switch and As An Epic Games Store Exclusive

The hotly anticipated Axiom Verge 2 will launch on PC alongiside Switch, but it will be an Epic Games Store Exclusive.

Thomas Happ, the creator of the game, said he didn't want to go into why the game will be an Epic store exclusive. He eluded to the relationship with the company meaning he didn't have to worry about the games sales performance:

"I don't want to go into too many details about the nature of the arrangement I have with Epic other than to say that I've been able to put my stress about how the game will perform out of my mind for a bit and just focus on making the game I want to make. Making games can be fun, but it can also be stressful. With this deal in place, game development started feeling like a hobby again."

Presumably, Happ is referring to the difference in revenue split between the Epic Store and Steam.
Epic offers a split of 88% to the publisher, where steam only offers 70%.

Happ says that the game will be released on Steam "eventually", but doesn't disclose anything about the exclusivity deal he has with Epic.

He also stated that he'll be talking about his plans for the game's release on Microsoft and Sony systems soon:

"I've been lucky that I've had great support from Sony and Microsoft over the years, so I hope to be able to talk about my plans on those systems soon."

 Players can get their hands on Axiom Verge 2 sometime this Spring.
