Battle.net - the service used for launching Blizzard and Activision's games - hasn't had an update for a long time. It's one of the oldest clients of its type spanning around 25 years of service, with the last update being 8 years ago. Finally, Battle.net 2.0 has arrived.

The change is mostly visual, with games now being displayed at the top of the app rather than on the left-hand side. The left of the app is now home to a game filter, enabling users to find games by developer and display their favorites.
The friends list is also featured on the right-hand side, as opposed to being in a separate window like before.

Battle.net 2.0 is available now for North American users and will be rolled out to the rest of the world soon.
If you're in North America and don't receive the update straight away, you can access the beta version of 2.0 using these instructions.
