Bayonetta sequel in the works?

If you liked Bayonetta, then this will probably make you eager to go back to the crazy, over-the-top, sex-infused adventures of our 500 year-old, librarian witch. With its flashy action set-pieces, epic boss fights--what's not to like? In a recent interview with Game Informer, Hideki Kamiya, director of PlatinumGames, has hinted of a possible Bayonetta 2 in the future.

 

"We obviously have love for the work we have created, so I don't see anything wrong with Bayonetta 2. Personally, I'd like to approach the world of Bayonetta from a different angle, in the form of a spin-off," Kamiya said in the interview.

 

If you don't already know, Hideki Kamiya is also well known for creating the Devil May Cry series, Viewtiful Joe, and Okami.

 

Is it a straight-up sequel, or a spin-off title featuring one of the minor characters? Either way, fans of the first game will know it will probably be just as hectic and overly exaggerated as the original.
