Buy Guitar Hero 5, Get Van Halen Free

After the chaos that was the release of The Beatles: Rock Band yesterday; news of free copies of Guitar Hero: Van Halen being given to anyone who purchases Guitar Hero 5 during the month of September was lost in translation.

This superb offer applies for both standalone versions of the game and also those that come packaged with instruments. All that you are required to do is buy the game between now and September 30th and then provide proof of purchase when GH:VH reaches our shores on December 22nd – just in time for Christmas.

It’s a smart move by Activision, who are desperate to keep up with Rock Band and the great thing’s they’ve been doing of late. The Beatles: Rock Band is probably one of the most anticipated video games of all time, and associating Guitar Hero 5 with rock legends Van Halen will do them no harm whatsoever.

Guitar Hero 5 is set to feature a total of 85 songs by 83 different artists, but none from Van Halen. The game is released tomorrow worldwide.
