Dubbed the Supaboy, this unofficial handheld will run old SNES cartridges. The device will launch in the United States, and should hit stores this summer, between June and August.

The Supaboy is still a prototype, and has  a 3.5 inch LCD screen,  a rechargeable battery that lasts about five hours during play and weighs 318 grams. The device also functions as a conventional console output to be connected to the TV, as well a slot for connecting an original SNES controller.

The Hyperkin is known for  modifying consoles, and is also responsible for launching both the NES and a Sega Genesis portable devices. The price for the Supaboy has not been revealed as of this writing.
