Disco Elysium Comes To Consoles, Fully Voice Acted

Publisher ZA/UM has announced that an update to Disco Elysium, dubbed The Final Cut, will arrive in March of 2021. The PC version of the game will receive the free update that will contain all new features including brand new questlines. Additionally, every single character in the game will be fully voice acted, even the various emotions and psyches guiding the main character. In addition to the update, the full game will also be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on the same day. ZA/UM is planning to also release the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch but no date has been determined.

 

In addition, a TV series based on Disco Elysium is still in development. The production is backed by the same film makers as the Sonic the Hedgehog films. Though, it is unclear how much a television adaptation will diverge from the game’s story. A big appeal of Disco Elysium is player choices, which can be hard to replicate in a static medium.
