Dutch Nuclear Ball Racer Dawns Stats

Do you guys remember yours truly playing with balls? Well, Proun today achieved to submit 1 million high scores in this completely independent art racer. Actually, a lot more races were done than that, making it even more impressive in the end. This ‘pay what you want’ game that you all should still go get comes from Joost Van Dongen, whom also works for Ronimo Games. These guys are currently working on Awesomenauts, but that’s beside the point.

Yes, this is a user created Smurfs tracks. Coincidentally, the movie is an insult to Belgium.

What is somewhat interesting is the gameplay stats released from Proun, where you can see who played what and how many times. For instance, even though the game supports up to 4 players, there were only a minuscule percentage of 895 scores submitted for it. Local play is dead? Tell that to the hardcore fans still playing GoldenEye on their N64! In any case,  read up on the stat blog, as it has some great inside info on the developer’s side of things.

Keeping it Dutch, to which I sincerely hope doesn’t mean something dirty, publisher Iceberg Interactive released Nuclear Dawn on Steam. Using the Left 4 Dead 2 engine, this game makes the transitions between RTS and FPS where players can build and shoot to their hearts content. With 4 classes, 32 player mode, 6 maps and a whole bunch of ranks and stats, this game looks to be promising at least. We’ll have more on that later this week!

Nuclear Dawn looking nifty. Possible cult hit or not? You tell us.

Europe business is booming! Well, despite the sad closure of many studios, to which we still feel sorrow. Let’s not think about that though; it’s time for action!
