E3 2012: Assassin's Creed III Tie-In Coming to the Vita, New Female Protagonist
News by David on Jun 04, 2012
Ubisoft is finally going to debut their Assassin’s Creed franchise to Sony’s latest handheld, the Vita. And guess what? This new title will feature a new face stabbing female protagonist (that’s right, a hot assassin lady) and will supposedly tie in to Assassin’s Creed III.

Titled Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, this game will be set around the 18th century (more specifically, between 1765 and 1780). Did I already mention the new protagonist is female? Her name is Aveline, an assassin of mixed heritage who will travel to places like Mexico and New Orleans. Ubisoft said Liberation will feature “large gameplay areas, where you can run, climb, fight, and explore the entirety of New Orleans without loading a new area.” It’s also been reported that Aveline will cross paths with ACIII protagonist Connor.
I’m all for a face stabbing hot lady to play as, and curious to how it will actually tie in to Assassin’s Creed III. Liberation is coming this October and will be developed by Ubisoft Sofia (who previously handled the Prince of Persia HD collection). Stay tuned for more info on the game possibly during Ubisoft’s E3 2012 conference later this afternoon.
