Fable III Due in 2010

Instead of following Sony's suit and announcing console price drops, Microsoft announced something a bit different at their GamesCom press briefing today -- Fable III. Speculations about a new Lionhead creation have been swirling since the company's website started teasing images of famous revolutionaries, such as Che Guevara, late last week.

The new Fable adventure will take place 50 years after the first, and you'll be playing as a son or daughter from your Fable II game-save. Molyneux says that players are "going to become the ruler of the whole of Albion," but not until you can overthrow the current tyrant oppressing its inhabitants.

Fable III is slated for 2010 release, but Mr. Molyneux says "don't expect it too early in 2010. We're still working on Milo and Kate."
