Final Fantasy 14 Expansion Announcement Coming this Fall

The next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV will be announced at October's Fan Festival.

Producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed in an interview with Game Watch when discussing upcoming patches and the future of the MMO.

Yoshida explained that things will start changing during Patch 3.5, however wouldn't go into detail about anything further than that patch.

To avoid spoilers Yoshida avoided answering any questions regarding 4.x patches and that details regarding 3.5 wouldn't become public till October.

Final Fantasy XIV is now available for PC.
