Forspoken Delayed to Ensure Polished Experience

Forspoken won't make its original release

Forspoken is Square Enix's next big release and after the terrible reception of Babylon's Fall, the company needs a win beyond Final Fantast 14. But Square Enix has delayed the game from May 25th to October 11th.

Announced back in 2020 the title has been mostly well-received for its mobility and open world that takes inspiration from Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3. However, Square Enix has not been performing well as with the recent live service Babylon's Fall received mostly negative reviews and barely any marketing leading to its release, making it the worse game from developer PlatinumGames.

The other big release from Square Enix, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy also failed to meet expectations. Despite the incredibly positive reception, the title was hampered by Marvel's Avengers which many believed would feature the same repetitive gameplay and overall poor performance but those who played it, like me, found it to be one of the best superhero games of all time.

Hopefully, Forspoken will succeed, and delaying a game to ensure a better experience is ideal. The last thing we need is another Fallout 76.
