Gaming-A Week in Tweets

News by Craig Bryan on  Feb 26, 2012

With the Vita launching and many great games doing the rounds this week I thought it would be appropriate to search out some Tweets for you guys, so expect plenty of profanity and teh txt spk. The first one comes from Transformers castaway Megan Fox who crudely writes:

@RealMeganFox

Video game warning label:
M 17+
Blood.
Intense violence.
Strong language.

Like a girl on her period…

The next comes from Danny who sums up what the majority of gamer-suffering girlfriends harass us about on a regular basis. If only they could understand:

@DannyTrainor22

Ok, stop yelling at the TV it’s a fucking video game…

The most discussed game this week appears to be SSX and the general consensus based on the demo points to the series hitting the summit once again:

@vyseofhr

So, the SSX demo is rather good. So good, in fact, that it’s become the first demo in a long time that’s convinced me to by a game #SSX

@evilmonkeyDTT
Guys ssx is as realistic as the tony hawk pro skater games. As in it’s fun, crazy, and not realistic at ALL!!!!!!

CandleJakk
So the SSX demo is brutal tough. But it is fucking awesomesauce. Fast paced, great visuals, silky smooth. I WANT MOAR.

Do you have a Vita yet? There is plenty out there who picked up theirs’ early doors and initial impressions are mixed:

@Unveil_NYC

The Ps Vita is quite amazing. I have been playing handhelds since gameboy and I have to say what a beautiful piece of gaming hardware!!!

@jeffgerstmann
Oh, weird. It works better with the D pad and buttons. It’s like the touch controls were sort of bolted on at the last minute or something.

@MattJeffsLS7
What better way to christen my #PSVITA than to play Fifa, #Liverpool v #Cardiff. And to put a real bet on based on the outcome #Wembley

@ryanodeonnell
But my god… visually, the Vita’s menus are absolutely atrocious. Just terrible. They need to get a proper design firm to fix that pronto.

@mikepulman
I am so impressed with the Vita. Have been playing F1 2011 on it all afternoon and it is just as fun and enjoyable as the console version

It wouldn’t be a Twitter article without some Call of Duty and Battlefield bashing and this week had it in abundance, like every other week. We start with a tweet to Robert Bowling, creative director for Infinity Ward:

@WillTaks

@fourzerotwo IF U PUT ONE HOUR INTO TELLING THE DAMN PEOPLE OF IW TO FIX MW3 THEY WOULDN’T CALL U ROBERT TROLLING U DUMB PIECE OF CRAP

@MissAdvic3
I miss Black Ops. Modern Warfare 3 sucks dick. I’m not even raging, I was just sitting here thinking about it.

@Comrade_Kaiser
Signed on to Xbox Live, feels weird as I totally disregarded my xbox for months. Deleted the BF3 crap & now I have space for good games

Finally, we make some room for some random gaming tweets from the past week, starting out with our very own Daav:

@DaavPuke

My article on N4G got reported for being ‘lame flamebait’ even though I show my support for the PSP from launch to finish. Opinions, ey?

@Code4Games
Dear Esther, are you a game?

@FreddyAmazin
If video games make you violent, does monopoly make you a millionaire? O_O

@MzsFuQurTweets
My two yt old just threw the Wii controller at me cuz I tricked him and took the batteries out lmaooooo

@SexySassyfrassy
Seeing people say “Oh, I shop at Gamestation so GAME going under doesn’t bother me.” Fills me with glee and anger at the same time. :P
