GDC 2011 all this week!

It’s GDC (Game Developer’s Conference) week, ya’ll! It is indeed an exciting event when video game developers from around the world come together under one roof…for an entire week! GDC 2011 will be held at the San Francisco Moscone Convention Center, from February 28-March 4. And just to let all of you know NoobFeed will be covering a slew of news expected to come out of GDC! Expect some news/previews on the latest and greatest games the industry has to show, as well as some new announcements here and there.

 

As stated in a previous article, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata will be addressing the GDC keynote this year, and he will be focusing on the 25-year history of video gaming. The Nintendo 3DS will also launch in the same month as the conference, so expect Iwata to elaborate more on that. The GDC 2011 Keynote Address will take place on Wednesday, March 2nd from 9-10AM PST.

 

This man will be there. Show some respect, fools!

 

The 11th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards will also award the best and brightest games of 2010.  View this page for more information on the awards show.

 

If all the ‘big’ name publisher talk doesn’t interest you at all, then you might like some indie games instead! GDC is also home to the IGF—also known as the Independent Game Festival—in which independent game developers get to show off their crown jewels to the world.
