Gears of War 3 Beta on April 25

Microsoft has announced that a beta version of the highly anticipated Gears of War 3 should arrive on the 25th of April. For those who buy Bulletstorm's Epic Edition, the fun starts even earlier: on April 18. In the beta there are 3 new competitive modes and four unpublished maps - two of which consist of: Trenches and Old Town; these were chosen by fans via Facebook.

 

Microsoft also confirmed the "Limited" and "Epic" editions, both available for pre-purchase through retailers GAME and Gamestation. Although their content still remains unknown the prices have been defined as is:

Standard - £ 49.99 ($US 81.22)

Limited - £ 59.99 ($US  97.46)

Epic - £ 99.99  ($US 160.84)

 

Those who made the pre-purchase of the game will have access to the beta version on April 25. Gears of War 3 is scheduled for release on September 20, exclusively for the Xbox 360.
