Godus Wars pops up on Early Access

Not so long ago, Peter Molyneux had his twitter account hacked. The hacker led everybody to believe that Mr. Molyneux was retiring from the industry and cancelling Godus' developement. As the game's store page had already racked up a high number of negative rewards due to the devs apparently abandoning the project people had backed on Kickstarter, things weren't looking very well. Days later, with his Twitter account regained, Peter Molyneux and his studio 22 Cans released Godus Wars on Early Access.

Godus Wars is a lite-RTS take on the Godus formula that focuses on fast-paced combat. It is, apparently the other half of Peter Molyneux's vision of what Godus should be, or so he claims.Having backed or bought Godus gets you Godus Wars for free. Otherwise, the price for acquiring it is 15$ or your regional equivalent, and, the purchase includes Godus. The studio have announced that they will be deleting the store page for Godus because they want to keep the cheaper option as the only one available. But one can't go on without wondering if this isn't just a ploy to divert attention from the Mostly Negative status on the Godus page. Regardless, it will be interesting to see how and if the game's developement will progress from now on.
