Finally, after many long years 505 Games have signed a deal with Paramount Digital Entertainment, enabling them to publish the very first game based around the musical movie Grease.

It’s kind of astonishing that nobody has tried sooner, but Ian Howe, marketing director for 505 is delighted that they’re the ones to finally do so, “We are really excited about working with Paramount Digital Entertainment to turn this world famous film into a video game for the very first time,” adding, "The 'Grease' movie is a timeless pop culture icon, and 505 Games is eager to bring the first interactive experience based on the film to fans around the world."

John Kavanagh, Paramount Digital Entertainment’s senior VP shares his enthusiasm on both the game and the partnership, “Paramount Digital Entertainment is pleased to be working with 505 Games to develop Grease. Grease is the ideal opportunity to reach a broad gaming audience who love to sing, dance and have fun with a party-style game.”

The game will be released on the Wii and DS platforms, and will give fans the opportunity to sing and dance along with the cast, using motion sensing controls and the DS’ touch screen capabilities.
