Halo: Reach Beta Coming

News by Craig Bryan on  May 01, 2010

Monday sees the start of the Halo: Reach beta, but only for those who own a copy of Halo 3: ODST, which was released the latter part of last year. There was another route into the Halo universe but that ship has now sailed, which saw ‘loyal’ Halo 2 players receiving special invites.

If you happen to own ODST or are purchasing it for the sole purpose of the beta then head on over to the Extras menu via Xbox Live and enter from there.

There will be four modes to play: Headhunter, Stockpile, Generator Defence and Invasion - as well as past favourites - to play on a total of four maps: Powerstation, Overlook, Swordbase and Boneyard. There will also be a nice array of new weapons to take advantage of, plus the ability to become invisible.

The beta will end May 19th.

Halo: Reach is set to be released toward the end of the year exclusively for Xbox 360 and should retail for around $59.99 or £39.99. It will also come in a Limited Edition and Legendary Edition if you’re looking for a little more.
