Halo Wars Sells Million

Microsoft has announced that their real-time spin-off of one of the greatest shooters of all time has sold over one million copies worldwide. This achievement comes less than three weeks after the games release and gives those working on future games in the series much hope of success.

This huge feat flies in the face of everything critics have said thus far, with many giving it a somewhat mediocre reception. It has received an average of 81.61% at GameRankings from a total of 57 reviews, and 82% at MetaCritic from a total of 80 reviews.

They also announced that an average of nearly a quarter of a million people play the game on a daily basis, and over 2.6 million multiplayer battles have already been played to date. That works out at an impressive 118 years of game play time in total.
