Harmonix reveals Green Day: Rock Band tracklist
News by Azn_pride on Apr 13, 2010
Green Day: Rock Band will contain 47 songs from the band, mainly from their hit albums, Dookie (1994), American Idiot (2004), and 21st Century Breakdown (2009); all songs from the three albums mentioned will be included in the game. Additionally, Green Day: Rock Band will also have a couple of songs off Warning (2000), as well as three tracks each from Nimrod (1997) and Insomniac (1995).
According to Entertainment Weekly, the game will also feature virtual venues from Green Day’s past performances. The first one will be called “The Warehouse, reminiscent of the band’s pre-stardom days performing in, as the band described it, “house parties and squats.” Another venue in the game will be located in the National Bowl in Milton Keyes, England, which will represent their height in popularity. Lastly, the third and final venue will be held at Fox Theater in Oakland, California, where they played all songs in their latest album, 21st Century Breakdown, to fans before the album was even officially released.
Green Day: Rock Band will hit store shelves on June 8th of this year, and will be available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii. A premium package will be available exclusively for PS3 and 360 owners for $70, in the NA region alone. The regular editions of both the PS3 and the 360 versions are priced at $59.99, while the Wii version will by $49.99.
