Itagaki reveals new gaming studio

After finally reaching a court settlement with its former parent company, Tecmo last week, former Team Ninja head Tomonobu Itagaki immediately divulged on his new development studio. As of this week, the Dead or Alive/3D Ninja Gaiden series creator is the head of the newly-formed Valhalla Game Studios.
In a recent Famitsu interview, Itagaki said that there are 50 staff members working at Valhalla Game Studios right now, planning to “expand a bit, but it's not going to be a 100-person company.” Itagaki added that “50 people working for two years can produce something better than 100 people working for one year…we like making things more than doing math."
Itagaki wasn’t candid about the first game Valhalla Game Studios will be working on, but assured fans it won’t be a fighting game. "I already made Dead or Alive, the best fighting game in the world, in my last company. Trying to compete against my own daughter wouldn't be worth the fight… Someone needs to step up and change things," Itagaki commented. He also expects his new project to sell at least four million copies when it is finally put out.
The official Valhalla Game Studios website isn’t up yet, but will be available for access in the coming days.
