Itagaki set to unveil new game at E3
News by David on Jun 10, 2010
Not long after Tomonobu Itagaki announced his new game studio, Valhalla Studios, the Dead or Alive/Ninja Gaiden creator was already hinting at a new project. It seems that he will reveal his plans at this year’s E3.
Itagaki said his team’s motivation has always been coming up “with a project from scratch, to gather together and work together as comrades, and to create something that all of you gamers can enjoy,” as stated in his letter of announcement in the official Valhalla Studios website.
This will also be Itagaki’s “fifth all-new project in my lifetime,” having already worked on Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Dead or Alive, and Dead or Alive Xtreme beforehand. 1up has already come to the conclusion that Itagaki’s new game will probably be headed for the Xbox 360 exclusively. Given his track record with Microsoft’s console, it is most likely the case.
No details on Itagaki’s new project have surfaced as of late, but the Valhalla studio head promised it “will be coming soon, so please look forward to hearing from me.” You can expect all that coverage and more on Monday, June 14.
