John Carmack Leaves id Software

John Carmack, co-founder of id Software and creator of Doom, has left the company in order to pursue new projects.

Carmack joined up with Oculus VR as Chief Technology Officer in August but remained at id afterwards, serving as leader in a unspecific project. Carmack's resignation ends his 17 year tenure with the company, hopefully this won't effect the development of Doom 4.
