Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days begins August 24

The first Kane & Lynch game was released almost three years ago, and was met with lukewarm reception. Many were turned off by its lackluster gameplay mechanics and bad AI, while others cite the story and characters for their reasons of disappointment. But with Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days slated for an August 24th, North American release, it seems that Eidos is ready to move on and provide a more engaging experience than its predecessor. The game will also launch in Europe on August 27, for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Players will once again fill in the shoes of the psychopathic/mercenary duo, Adam “Kane” Marcus and James Seth Lynch. They will both find themselves in China, going toe-to-toe with the Shanghai underworld. Instead of the storyline focusing on Kane as in the first game, Lynch will more or less be the central character in Dog Days.
IO Interactive, the developer behind the Kane & Lynch games, stated the biggest change in Dog Days is the visual style, inspired by documentary films; the camera will follow the duo around in a sort of “unscripted style” throughout the game. IO also stated there will be new Fragile Alliance multiplayer modes, which will expand on the first Kane & Lynch’s online co-op and competitive multiplayer.
