L.A. Noire - Dificulty, Development and Gameplay Details

L.A. Noire is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Besides being developed by Rockstar, the title has also drawn the players attention because of its technical innovations. However, the title is not just technical proficiency. The development team has done extensive historical research to recreate Los Angeles in the 1930s. To achieve accurately portray L.A., the staff at Team Bondi used some useful maps from Works Progress Administration and U.S. Geological Society. The team was able to take aerial pictures to recreate the city's traffic patterns at the time.

Meanwhile, Rockstar went to Tribeca Film Festival - to show the game to the general public. Rob Nelson, Art Director, participated in a brief question and answer session, in which he spoke about the development of the game. Among the highlights of the interview were the revelations about the difficulty of the game. According to Rob Nelson, the title will be difficult, but with a scheme that will make life easier for less experienced players. Apparently, you can "jump" sequences that give more work, without losing important parts in the plot.
LA Noire is scheduled for a May 17th release, for PS3 and Xbox 360.
