LaBeouf Criticizes Wii

Shia LaBeouf has recently hit out at the Nintendo Wii, labeling it as an “amateur console.” In a recent interview with BigDownload the Transformers star was quoted as saying, "This is how in a simple way you can find out if it's a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there."

Shia, who is a self-proclaimed gamer, said he simply just wasn’t “into the Wii thing.” He even went as far to say that he’d rather “eat glass” than play LEGO Star Wars on the console. He places Sid Meier’s Civilization, Doom, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong and Sonic the Hedgehog amongst his favourite titles.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is released in North America, Australia and New Zealand tomorrow. It’s debatable whether alienating Nintendo fans prior to this was a smart move.
