Machinarium heads to WiiWare

Have you gotten a chance to play Machinarium yet? If you must know, it’s a beautiful point-and-click puzzle adventure game released on the PC in October of last year (it’s available on the game’s website for $20, or you can also get it on Steam). Developer Amanita Design has just recently announced that the game will soon hit the Nintendo WiiWare store.

This charming puzzle adventure game will be available on the Wii Shop Channel very soon.

XGen Studios will be in charge of Machinarium’s port to WiiWare. Additionally, XGen will also be releasing another title on the WiiWare titled Super Motherload, which is a four-player drop in/drop out co-op follow-up to the well-known Motherload series.

No official word has been said if Machinarium will eventually be released on Xbox Live and/or PSN. According to Game Informer though, Amanita was turned down when they asked Microsoft permission to port it on the 360. The developer is currently trying to get it ported on the Playstation Network.
