Mario & Sonic at Tokyo Olympics Coming in 2019

Mario and Sonic may have given up their rivalry but they still compete with one another in less aggressive ways. With Sega revealing its partnership with the International Olympic Committee to develop and publish multiple official Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. One of which will feature Sonic and Mario.

The first game called Tokyo 2020 Olympic The Official Game will launch on PS4 and Nintendo Switch this summer. The trailer shows off BMX, Tennis, and Soccer.

Next will be Mario & Sonic At Tokyo Olympics. This will be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch worldwide on Winter 2019. An arcade version of the game will be released in Japan as well in 2020. A Sonic focused mobile game, Sonic At the Olympic Games has also been confirmed.
