Medal of Honor Beta Bonus

Medal of Honor, an upcoming first-person shooter for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, is to release a Limited Edition equipped with a beta key for Battlefield 3.

Both games are developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and published by Electronic Arts, so it’s no great surprise as to why they’ve taken such action. This will undoubtedly raise sales, with the North American release scheduled for October 12. Europe will get there’s October 15 to coincide with a Friday release.

The Limited Edition bundle, in addition to the key, will also feature a host of extra weapons, ammunition and camouflage right out of the box. This will give players a tactical advantage over their adversaries from the get-go. The PS3 version will also include a remastered version of Medal of Honor: Frontline.

Bizarrely both editions of the game are currently listed at the same price, so I can’t see too many people picking the bog-standard option.

According to the official website, the beta will go live within 12 months of the games release. Gamers will need to be 18 years of age and have an Xbox Live Subscription in order to qualify. It’s currently unknown whether the newly instated PlayStation Plus will play a major part for PlayStation Network users.
