Minecraft's Steve Joins Super Smash Bros. Ultimate This October 13th, New Amiibos Confirmed

As promised, Masahiro Sakurai, the legend himself, livestreamed an update detailing the latest addition to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster Steve. Showing off the latest fighter's moves and abilities along with variants for both Steve and Alex.

First off, crafting and mining will remain paramount to Steve and Alex's build. Steve will get more powerful with stronger equipment. This is as follows: wood, stone, iron, gold, and diamond. Equipment does have durability, with the player needing to mine for tools on the field. Crafting tables are available and once you gather material it can be used for fighting, building blocks, and creating tools. With certain attacks requiring material such as the Anvil which uses 1 Iron to execute but is very powerful. The area where you mine will determine what material you'll obtain but you can only carry so much, once you reach the limit you'll start automatically discarding items. If you already obtained a powerful item, like a diamond sword, picking up the same material will automatically replenish the item. If you need to reposition your crafting table you can do so easily using the shield. If someone else is playing Alex/Steve you can use their table as well.

If Kirby copies Steve/Alex the pink ball will turn square.

Minecraft's stage will feature the same layout but with a variety of biomes. Depending on the time of day will determine if mobs will appear in the background. Complete with breakable objects that will restore in different ways.

Steve's ultimate attack will send the player flying with a piston, into a castle full of TNT, Creepers, and other mobs. After the explosion, the player will enjoy a victory steak.

The soundtrack being added with the update coming October 13th is Halland / Dalarna, Earth Clockwork Crafter, Toys on a Tear, Dance of the Blocks, Glide, and The Arch-Illager. All of which are featured in Minecraft Earth and Minecraft Dungeons.

The updated Spirit board will include spirits Zombie, Creeper, Skeleton, Slime, Enderman, Villager and Iron Golem, Ghast, and Piglin.

There are new Mii Fighter costumes such as Creeper, Pig, and Diamond Armor.

That's not all as Gil, Bomberman, and Travis Touchdown will also be added to the game as Mii options.

To keep collectors happy and encourage the sunk cost fallacy so people don't get annoyed for not having a complete Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo roster 3 new amiibos have been confirmed. Byleth, Banjo and Kazooie, and Terry will arrive this 2021.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available for Switch.
