Mojang Announces Augmented Reality Minecraft Game Fittingly Called Minecraft Earth

Mojang is taking Minecraft into virtual reality, with Minecraft Earth coming to mobile devices.

This new installment is basically Pokemon GO with Minecraft. Like Niantic's popular mobile title Minecraft Earth will use augmented reality to place Minecraft creatures and items within the real world. Information is limited of how it's going to work but we don't expect you'll be able to capture creatures within Minecraft.

Minecraft Earth is in development for mobile devices.
