Players can expect 2 new monsters and a new ending to the game's story, new quests, new equipment, new skills, and more.

During the May Digital Event, Monster Hunter Rise players received an early look at the monstrous new content that will be included in Ver. 3.0, the second free title update for the game. First up, is the arrival of a new variant of Valstrax, the flagship monster from Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. This mysterious Elder Dragon is known by the name Crimson Glow Valstrax and can soar through the skies by changing the shape of its wings, allowing it to fly and attack from unusually high altitudes. Next, Apex Zinogre enters the fray with an electric “golden lighting” look and different attacks that might leave hunters in shock. Additionally, a new quest featuring an epic showdown with the Thunder Serpent Narwa and Wind Serpent Ibushi will provide players with a highly-anticipated new ending to the storyline. This new story ending, as well as the two new monsters, new quests, new weapon and armor options, new skills, and more will be available to players for free when Ver. 3.0 releases later today.

New information about Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin reveals light infecting monsters around the world. The protagonist has a connection with Razewing Ratha, the protagonist's grandfather the legendary Monster Rider Red, and some return characters from the first game.

The players can collect Monstie eggs deep inside Monster Dens with harder dens containing rarer eggs. Hatching them at your stables players can obtain a variety of options. Using the Rite of Channeling the player can transfer unique genes from one Monstie to another to create more powerful options.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available for Switch and will come to PC in 2022.
